Composition And Principle Of Fiber Optic Gyro Inclinometer

The basic working principle of the fiber optic gyro inclinometer is based on the Sagna effect, that is, two beams of the same characteristic are emitted from the same source in the same closed optical path, and propagate in the opposite direction, converging to the same detection point, and generating interference. If there is an angular velocity about the axis perpendicular to the plane of the closed optical path relative to the inertial space, then the beams propagating in the forward and reverse directions produce an optical path difference that is proportional to the angular velocity. The angular velocity can be calculated by detecting the phase difference by the relationship between the optical path difference and the corresponding phase difference. It typically consists of a fiber optic sensing coil, an integrated optical chip, a broadband source, and a photodetector. The fiber optic gyroscope does not require high-precision machining of the optical mirror, strict sealing of the optical cavity, and mechanical biasing technology, effectively overcoming the locking phenomenon of the laser gyro and making it easy to manufacture.
