There are two ways to calculate the track:
1. Track mapping algorithm: also known as chart operation method. It draws the estimated ship position and track directly on the chart based on the heading, voyage and wind flow data. This method is concise and intuitive, and is therefore a commonly used method of calculation on navigation.
2. Track calculation method: also known as Sailing. It is an applied mathematical formula that calculates the estimated dead space of the arrival point and the estimated flight path by calculating the work of the look-up table or computer, and then the driver draws the calculated dead space and track to the civil chart according to it. Go up and guide the ship to sail. Therefore, the current track calculation method is only a complementary method of the track mapping algorithm under certain circumstances. Today, computer computing has become popular, and track computing has long been used in satellite navigation receivers (such as the MX-1105 satellite navigation receiver), integrated navigation systems (such as the MX-200 combined navigation system) and integrated data bridges. They are widely used, and they all have the function of dead reckoning.
