The main research work includes: Comparing the current gyro theodolite accuracy assessment specifications and the corresponding standards in Germany, analyzing their respective characteristics and deficiencies, and summarizing a set of procedures for evaluating the directional integrated precision of gyro theodolites. The selection of the gyro orientation accuracy standard is discussed. The effects of external factors such as temperature, vibration, latitude and magnetic field on the directional accuracy of the gyro theodolite are studied. The mathematical model of the influence of temperature change on the north direction value and instrument constant of the gyro is established. The gyroscopic theodolite orientation accuracy is affected by the latitude, vibration and magnetic field. The relationship of change explores the corresponding improvement measures. The method, flow, accuracy and influencing factors of GPS RTK orientation and gyro theodolite orientation were compared and analyzed. Theoretical analysis and experiments have proved that the orientation accuracy of high-precision gyro theodolite is much better than GPS RTK orientation in the case of short side length, only in the long side length, the directional edge is close to the base station, the orientation accuracy is not high, and the surrounding observation environment Under better conditions, GPS RTK can be used instead of the gyro theodolite for orientation.
